Engage

Following Jesus is meant to be interactive. All of us have gifts to offer the world and part of the ministry of Orchard is helping people figure out how best to do that.

Church Leaders

Leading a local church is hard work! We have a proven track record of helping church leaders maximize their community impact while minimizing their daily “to-do” list. We would love to come alongside your church as well!

Start a Ministry

If you have a desire to serve a specific group of people but aren’t sure exactly how to get things started, we’d be glad to help you walk through that process. Orchard is set up to help ordinary people make extraordinary impacts. Take a moment to review some of our ministries and contact us if you’d like to start the conversation about starting your own Orchard ministry!

Give to Orchard

When you donate to Orchard, you help strengthen a vast array of ministries seeking to share the love of Christ to a wide scope of audiences. Additionally, because many of these ministries are ran by volunteers, you can be assured that our staff expenses are proportionately lower than you might expect for the scope of impact that our ministries enjoy. This gives Orchard the benefit of stretching dollars further for greater Kingdom impact. Click here to donate to Orchard.

The Orchard Institute

We are excited to announce the launch of The Orchard Institute in fall of 2017! This new initiative of Orchard will offer classes and trainings on a variety of topics such as:

  • Prayer and Spiritual Power
  • How to discover your purpose?
  • The Light of Christ: What is it and what does it mean for me?
  • Engaging Culture without Losing Your Faith
  • Spiritual Leadership
  • and more!

We can’t wait to share more with you about this as it is available.

In addition to the opportunities listed above, here are some additional resources to help you experience and share the love of Christ more completely:

  1. Dan Hayes Speaking Ministry

With nearly 50 years of ministry experience, Dan is available to speak and teach on a variety of topics. Inner life, serving, and prayer are among his favorites! Although often quite nuanced, his approach is very easy to understand and rooted in biblical wisdom (with emphasis given to the life of Jesus in the gospels).

  2. Jonathan Goode Speaking Ministry

Jonathan brings a unique approach to preaching and teaching that is insightful, discerning, and easy to understand. His messages merge historical Christian orthodoxy and modern cultural trends to consider the best ways for today’s Jesus followers to leverage their life for Christ in a way that both relates well to society and honors their faith heritage.

  3. Specialized Non-Profit Training

We offer a variety of resources to help leaders of existing non-profits with a special focus on those serving in low income or distressed communities. Board Development, Fund Development, and Executive Director Training are among the topics covered.

  4. Sabbath Rest

Led by Becky Shoaf, Sabbath Rest is a periodic series of events that offers four hours of silence for busy Atlantans.

  5. Men's Bible Study (Orchard Men’s Ministry)

“Men are looking for better methods, God is looking for better men!” (E. M. Bounds) Better Men Bible Study exists to help men experience deeper spiritual life, pray bigger prayers and impact in the world more noticeably. These meetings occur at 7:30am on Friday mornings. All men are welcome to join.
