With three young kids at home, my family is at the sweet spot for Christmas. The older two are in full kid mode – enjoying gifts, being out of school, and spending time with family. Our baby girl is simply happy to be handed an empty box. (Unfortunately, my wife will not let me use that as an excuse not to buy gifts.) My children are experiencing the simple fun and excitement of Christmas – and it is so thrilling to enjoy it alongside them!

But you and I know this is not what Christmas is about. At the risk of sounding like a cliché, Jesus really is the reason for the season! He is the great hope that makes all the little things, like gifts, parties, and sweet treats, worth enjoying.

In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelmingly hopeless, we can find solace in Jesus, who meets us right where we are and offers us more than we could ever hope for or deserve. This is precisely why the work we do at Orchard is so vital!

We strive to help people encounter Jesus through the love, service, and selflessness of His followers. As we approach the end of this year, I invite you to give generously to Orchard so we can expand our mission in 2025! Your end-of-year contributions are crucial to sustaining this important work, and we deeply appreciate your support.

May the Holy Spirit, the same Spirit who empowered the virgin birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, be with you this Christmas season. “God bless you and keep you, God smile on you and gift you, God look you full in the face and make you prosper.” (Numbers 6:24- 26, MSG)

From all of us at Orchard, Merry Christmas!
