The Pitch is a shark-tank-style competition that allows non-profit leaders to apply for an opportunity to be awarded a $50,000 grant for their organization. A two-round process will determine six finalists who will move on to the final round, where they will deliver their “Pitch” to a live audience and a panel of judges. All finalists will receive a one-time grant of $10,000, with one winner receiving a one-time $50,000 grand prize.  

But that’s not all! All Round 3 finalists will receive free coaching from Orchard in preparation for the event and receive a free professional-quality video featuring their organization. Finalists must have the capacity and willingness to receive coaching from Orchard. Orchard will also help produce a video for the event (which the organization will then own for use after The Pitch concludes.) 

How to Apply  

Step 1 - Prepare all necessary items to apply. You will need the following: 

• Current fiscal year’s operating budget including figures showing administrative costs as a percentage of overall program costs. 

• Your most recent IRS letter indicating tax-exempt status (including Tax ID number) if your organization operates inside the USA. 
• Your form 990 from each of the last two years. 
• A 2-minute video (cell phone video is fine) describing who you are and what your organization does.
